Ever had one of those days that make you just want to stick your head in a hole and scream for a nice long two minutes? Me either, but I hear they’re pretty tough….. OK, so I have had my share of those days. And I’m glad they don’t happen too often. You may find yourself thinking, “It just wasn’t supposed to happen like that” or some other thought that denies the very existence of the situation.
That’s the key word, you know…..denial. It’s the very first in the five stages of grief. So it’s expected, but trust me, it won’t last too long, for the reality of what has happened will strike home and you will realize that yes, it has happened. Now it’s time to be angry. Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and finally acceptance. They all happen, and sometimes we get stuck in one of them and that’s when we have a bunch of trouble. It doesn’t matter which one we are glued into, because although they are all necessary, if we stay in any one of them for too long a period, we will cause irreparable harm to our psyche.
This will take a bit of faith to do, but if you want to bring some peace to your life, look around and discover that God is right next to you. He’s holding onto you with His arm around you and He is trying to show you His love. He will get you through this. He had Paul write these words just for you:
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. NKJV
Even if it wasn’t in your plan, it is most certainly in God’s plan….for it has happened. Don’t lose your faith, your triust or your acceptance of God’s plan for your life but rather seek out what His plan is and go for it. It was designed especially for you. By God….it just doesn’t get any better than that. So praise Him in the good times and the bad. Jump for joy when you are suffering, for He will love you through this.
Nothing you do or anyone else will ever take you away from God’s love. He loves you and will get you through this….but you gotta trust Him. It’s a promise!
